How You Can Help

All those interested in the Railroad that served Cherry, now have the wonderful opportunity to visit Mendota to see this beautifully restored Milwaukee Road Combine car. The coal trains traveling to and from Cherry passed through Mendota on these tracks next to the museum. The combination baggage and coach car was originally built in 1938. It has been faithfully restored in the last four years by hardworking volunteers. I am glad to say that I painted the railings, steps and wheel sets (trucks). Railroad history is alive in Mendota!
